Left school at 17 with the words of my Careers Advisor ringing in my ears, "You'll never make a living as an artist!" Eight and a half days later I landed a job drawing comic books and have never stopped painting/drawing/sculpting/writing since. I've worked as a comic book artist, cartoonist, illustrator, computer game designer; I've written TV scripts, graphic novels and nationally syndicated newspaper comic strips. These days I'm an early-onset curmudgeon who is only even remotely happy when mired deep in my studio painting and strewn from head to toe with oil paint.
