Life-long artist, avid hiker, outdoor & wildflower enthusiast. Armed with a degree in Biology, I entered the work force as a chemist! After 15 years of this, a colleague changed my life by handing me an outside graphic design job. "Hmmm," I'm thinking, "this is a lot healthier & way more fun than chemistry! I immediately started taking classes, quit my job, and have been a technical illustrator / graphic designer for the last 20 years! Then the unthinkable happened -- the bulk of my work was outsourced to Singapore! Technically, I am semi-retired. The upside is that I have more time for personal art and volunteer trail maintenance in the local Santa Cruz Mountains. Curiously, the trail work led to another project! Since it was apparent (at least to me) that the group needed a t-shirt, I designed one! And Zazzle printed it! Whoopee -- great results! Not long after this, there came a similar request for another t-shirt! Do two designs warrant a "storefront" on Zazzle? Absolutely! I set one up, and with many more designs, here I am today! My husband says he hasn't seen me this excited in a long time!
