I have painting since the age of eight. I learned to paint in oils from my father. He would paint on his easil and I would stand next to him and paint on mine. In the last 4 years my style has changed from realism to impressionism. I paint on Yupo paper, a slick synthetic paper that lends itself to much experimentation. I don't know what I'm going to paint when I start. I choose some colors and begin applying the paint to the Yupo paper. I will eventually "see" something and then further define that image. I listen to Christian worship music when I paint and see my painting as an act of worshiping God.
