About

I’m a self taught folk artist. I works in two mediums lino and acrylic. A lot of my pieces are based on poetry I’ve written. I’ve been writing poetry since I was thirteen years old. I went to university to find an art form I could incoparate my poetry with. With help from my teacher I discovered I had a style of my own. I thought I wasn’t very artistic at all. Then it happened. I showed my teacher a piece I had completed from start to finish over a long weekend. My teacher was so excited to see it and told me I was a folk artist with a unique style. It was through the encouragement of this teacher that I had the convedence to complete several more pieces. I graduted from the University of the Fraser Valley with a B.A. in English and Visual Arts. After graduating I decide to try my hand at painting. I’m now in the process of putting my linos to paint. I also dabble in photography.
