Welcome to My Aspen Blues. Hi there—I’m Marnie, the founder and creative spirit behind My Aspen Blues. I was born in the heartland of Iowa but moved down South in high school, and I’ve called Greenville, South Carolina home ever since. (So yes, I say “y’all” with full Southern credibility.) I’m the proud mom of three incredible Gen Z kids—my oldest son is out in the world making his mark, while my younger son and daughter are both currently in college. As a mom, I’ve seen how quickly the world has shifted—from handwritten letters and handmade gifts to emojis and one-click shopping. And while progress is great, I believe some things are worth holding onto. That’s why I created My Aspen Blues: to bring back the soul of gift-giving. Each item in my shop is designed with heart, humor, and a touch of nostalgia—so that your gift feels personal, memorable, and made just for them. Whether it’s a necklace with a story, a t-shirt with a wink, or a design that stops someone mid-scroll, it all starts right here in my little studio. So why the name My Aspen Blues? Aspen trees are quietly connected underground—just like us. And “blues” aren’t just about sadness—they’re rich, expressive, and full of feeling. That’s what I want this space to reflect: connection, creativity, and a little bit of that good ol’ soulful spark.
