Moths of Vespertine

Sandra is a visual artist specializing in watercolour. Growing up on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains of Western Canada, her works are steeped in both the reality of the natural worlds and the fantasy of their folklore. A third generation artist, she carries on the expressive traditions of her grandmother and father into a new medium. Watercolour allows her to combine whimsical depictions of mythological creatures with detailed explorations of local flora and fauna. At the intersection of these expressions she has lent her works to illustrations for several gaming supplements. Sandra's artwork seeks to bridge between the world we have, and a fantastical world that might be, if only we were to look a little closer.
