Latvian designer Agni Tilla never leaves her home without a watch on her wrist. Struggling to find interesting, colorful and affordable watches for her everyday wardrobe, Agni decided, “It’s time to create one for myself!” She founded May28th in February 2010 and created a wide selection of one-of-a-kind and limited edition watches in dozens of designs and colors for every taste and occasion. With the increasing popularity of her watches, Agni developed a partnership with Canadian designer Gillian Johnson and technical mastermind Janis Tilla. Now based in Toronto and Riga, May28th features watches inspired by the shapes and textures of the natural world and the weaves and knits of textiles, as well as unique and individual unisex watches in colorful and black and white graphic designs. In 2012, May28th launched its custom watch platform and has helped thousands of people around the world capture their favorite memories and turning them into fashionable timepieces.
