About
My artistic practice is inspired by my family and my ethical values of not taking empty space for granted.
From acrylic to pencil, from highly emotional portraits to eye-less portraits, from wildlife to wildlife in the foreground, from surface anatomy to peeled anatomy revealing bones and veins, from fast art to meditative art.
I make a drawing with patience and a lot of research. The concept grows in truancy. Geometry is part of my analysis and my practice is linked by rules, thoughts and executed spontaneously. The use of black and white reigns in my technique and color sometimes adds an emphasis on my traces. Eyes are not part of my artistic choice but the emotion and the message that can be transmitted without them in a portrait.
Through the staging of painted works presenting the human body and its pains, I seek to provoke a reflection on ego, beauty, benevolence, suffering, despair and the joy of living.
I often wonder about the usefulness of my work, but I am proud to be made visible to my own eyes.
My work is in constant evolution, inspired by the movement of humans around me and in which I take place, fmaybe one day to be taken as a source of inspiration
