About

WHO ARE WE? We’re a small, independent and self-sustained dot-com organisation that was born in July 2011, during the infamous riots in Manchester and Salford. We might be a small business but we are a handful of carefully selected professionals and together with our army of fans, we’re pretty huge. We are quality, man. We are not the council, nor do we want to take any glory from the fantastic things they have done with the brand. Above all, we all share the same passion; love & affection for our city Manchester. WHAT DO WE DO? We are essentially PR for Manchester, endorsing the LOVEly places in the city with bright, beautiful stories. We express Manchester’s originality, individuality and courage through our means of online and print media. THE online lifestyle magazine for Manchester, focusing on all of the positive things that are happening right now. We are not a news site, we are not a commercial machine churning out rubbish, we are a real, honest and loyal group of writers, journalists and Manchester enthusiasts. We all LOVE Manchester. It’s our job to promote our city in the right way. We are cool, cultured, cosmopolitan – just like Manchester. REVIEWS We shout about all the things that make Manchester one of the world’s great cities and not just because of the football or music! We’ll guide you on just how to get the most out of Manchester using our entertaining analogies. Following a survey with bars & restaurants in the city, most places prefer us to arrange reviews with them rather than anonymously turn up. Regardless of how they like to get it right every time and not just for media folk. Anybody can be a critic. What we do, is give you the overall experience and entertain you. Always very honest. We wouldn’t want our readers venturing and spend their hard earned money (especially when most people are struggling) to be disappointed. Reviews usually conclude positive. We will find and expose what makes a place in Manchester so special. Please read our policy for more info >> WHY? Why should it take events such as a riot for people to come forward and express their love for the city? It shouldn’t take a disaster to remind you. That’s where we come in – we’ll remind you as often as possible. The identifiable logo hits the right notes with people and it worked; it works. It’s friendly, nostalgic and immediately captures your attention with pride. It’s an old cliché, but every cloud has a silver lining. The riots certainly highlighted the people who love our city. Our online magazine is an expression of Manchester’s courage and individuality. An attempt to raise both spirit and economy through the power of online media, pointing you beautiful people in the right direction. Our campaign aims to show the world that the people of Manchester are proud of their city and united against anti-social behaviour. Above all; to help give back to the local economy and put Manchester on the map. There’s a lot of pride in the city right now and we see it our responsibility to keep it that way. It can fade away so easily, we’ll not let that happen. We harness the people who give a damn. People who embrace Manchester’s many multicultural demographics and spread the love. No matter where you go in the world people are always proud to be recognised that they’re from Manchester. The original modern city, Manchester is a city that embraces its multicultural demographics and we DO have a bright economic future. The iconic I LOVE MCR logo design is a spin on the New York State Tourism Department (I Love NY) designed for one purpose – to spread love and it’s become a symbol of the city’s resilience. Manchester does after all, have the cosmopolitan and atmospherical similarities to New York. LET THERE BE LOVE… We’ve been all “me, me, we” on this page but I assure you, ‘we’ are very you, you, love… Please tell a friend, spread the love and leave your friends in no doubt – that you love Manchester just as much as we do! Do you love Manchester? Of course you do, you wouldn’t be here now otherwise, would you!? Show your love for Manchester… Facebook.com/ILoveMCRdotcom Twitter.com/@ILoveMCRdotcom
