HauntedForest

I walked a narrow path one day, A fair bae whispered in my ear, "Follow me or kneel and pray, There's plenty dark within to fear" I took my chel and left the road, the brambles parting at a wave, seeking what I thought was owed, in the footprints of that knave. I followed as sun set and rose, followed far and followed wide, set upon the path I chose, through hollow way and country side. The season passed and then the year, My feet grew raw, my clothing wild, I wander still: my way is clear, to ever walk the woods beguiled.
