I am an entrepreneurial business woman, visual artist and storyteller. For the twenty years prior to 9.11.2001 I built a career licensing my unique hand painted illustrations and product designs to renown companies know for the quality of their brands: a partial list of clients includes, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Lenox China, Wedgwood, George Caspari, Shurman Fine Papers, and Shaw Living. I was known as a surface designer with a special talent for creating beautifully detailed, traditional as well as whimsical designs that successfully drove sales internationally in the gift, stationary and home decorative accessories product categories. Beginning in 2000 and spanning the next decade, a series of traumatic, life altering events became the catalyst for my personal and spiritual transformation. Over a four year period of time I experienced the loss of nineteen beloved people and pets, became a stepmom to two teenage girls, and suffered the slow demise of my once thriving business. This became the catalyst for my personal re-invention. In an effort to heal myself with the desire to be of service to others, I became a Reiki Master. I also picked up a pen, where, through my participation in several writing groups, I discovered the power that story telling holds to help heal us all. With this realization, I found a renewed sense of purpose, to build a social community for heart to heart connecting that begins through the sharing of our true personal stories. I trust that our appreciation of the valuable legacy of our relationships, present and past will create a ripple effect to inspire each of us to take positive action, to leave our own unique handprints and to encourage others to do the same.
