Once upon a time there was a dragon who lived by the sea. The dragon collected treasure, like all dragons do. The dragon was misunderstood by other treasure seekers, like all dragons are, but the dragon focused on developing its own wisdom. It meditated daily. It watched its breath, which was often filled with fire. It watched the sea, which was always filled with water. It watched what washed ashore. The flotsam and jetsam was always interesting and valuable in one way or another. But the dragon, who became wise and compassionate, did not try to collect it all. It shared its fortune with others. It jettisoned its excess treasure at charities and sold some of it to buy food. It ate fewer people and animals and developed a strong preference for almonds and dried cherries.
