About
Admit it, at some point, you've probably played with someone's face. Toddlers seem to do it by instinct, and they especially LOVE IT when you're napping, right Vivi? I prefer my eyelids closed when I'm sleeping, sweetie. It's cool though, I get it, it's animal nature, and the likelihood of face distortion seem to increase the closer you are to that person. Family members, significant others, we've all given them a pig nose.
I'd like to take a paragraph here, to thank my wife, who's been so cool about the amount of face touching she endures on the daily. You're just so beautiful, honey, that Vivi and I just have to wonder if we'd love you just as much with a pig nose or a chicken beak while you're asleep.
And we do! Sometimes, we put them together to make the ultimate animal, the chicken-pig hybrid.
"CHEEKEN PEEG!", my 3-year-old would say, as she proceeded to squeeze the lips together while up-turning the nose of her mother with the strength her little fingers can muster. "CHEEKEN PEEG!", with that lovely accent she got from her mom.
It's the little things in life that matter most, and in that moment, I feel like the richest king.
