OUR DRIVE to fight against social injustices began during the fall of 2003 with the commitment, love and passion of students from the University of Florida who felt moved to give back to their homeland, Colombia. Growing up in Colombia provided those students the necessary insight to understand the struggles suffered by thousands of Colombians affected every day by the scars of the nation’s internal conflict. The beliefs of those students and their desire to help cultivate a world of Peace, Justice, and Equal Opportunity led to the foundation of CBOB and developed the core values of the organization. Not long after its conception, CBOB started to receive a lot of support from people around the globe, which motivated us to expand our mission beyond Colombia. This shift to a global focus has yielded a greater commitment to the children who we serve and to our supporters.
