Life in prison is not an excuse not to be creative. We are prisoners of LP Krebokan jail Bali and we are trying to better ourselves and making art. Antrabez product profits support the artists and designers of LP Kerobokan Bali to develop their creative potentials and wellbeing A lot of inmates come into Kerobokan prison having broken the law because they don't have the education, skills or opportunities to find real legitimate work in the outside world to provide for themselves or family so they resort to a life of crime as a means of survival. This Art/drawing program inside the prison gives inmates the skills and education to learn Screen printing, graphic design, the principles of mixing colors and social skills such as working as a team, being responsible, disciplined and dedicated. Inmates that partake in this program also have the financial initiative to make some money in prison for their work and that money will be given to them upon release so that the ex-prisoner will be released into society with the best chance of not reoffending. Inmates will also be fully trained up and equipped with skills to be able to find legitimate work so they can leave their previous life of crime behind them. Our goal is to have local businesses employ ex-prisoners as staff to help them get back up on their feet and give them opportunities that they never had offered to them before they went to prison. We don't want to sit back in prison and watch prisoners use the front door of Kerobokan prison as a revolving door by inmates not learning from their mistakes we are in a position to be of help to prisoners who want to learn skills and better themselves which will also be beneficial to society where gangs, drugs and theft are very high so if we can educate and bring people out of the only lives these prisoners know it makes for a better future for Bali.
