These step-by-step instructions break down the process into simple tips and reminders, and by the time you’ve reached the last bullet point, you’ll be able to throw your own hat in the ring as an Independent Creator. Here’s everything you need to know about creating custom photo blankets:

• Step 1: Go to our custom blanket page. There are several different thumbnails to choose from, which can seem confusing, but there’s no need to duck for cover (under a blanket you already own, presumably).
• Step 2: Select a blank template. Those labelled ‘Fleece Blanket’ and ‘Sherpa Blanket’ are our most popular, though everyone loves the ‘Baby Blanket’ template too!
• Step 3: On the product page, choose a desired size. You’ve already chosen the material on the prior page, whether it was fleece, sherpa or cotton.
• Step 4: Add images, text and design elements in Zazzle's design tool - this is where you'll add your own personal touch to your product!
• Step 5: Click 'Done' and see your final design!

If putting a photo of yourself or your spouse on a blanket seems a little ‘too much,’ then you could always add your monogram. No one’s going to steal a blanket with your initials on it, and if they do, you’ll be able to deliver a solid comeback when they say, ‘It hasn’t got your name on it, has it?’ Finally, blankets don’t necessarily need to be decorated with characters, photos and names; a simple pattern would also do nicely, and our Independent Creators have uploaded many of those, too!
