Jurassic Dog Park: The Fetch Goes Prehistoric This one started with Luna-Butt (as most of my ideas do). I don’t get to take her to the park much right now—triple bypass recovery means I can’t exactly sprint after her if she decides a squirrel is a terrorist threat to public safety. (Which, according to Luna, they all are.) So I sat there wondering… what did people before people do about this? Like, back in the Jurassic days. Cave families had to have pets, right? Maybe their “family dog” wasn’t a golden retriever but a two-tonne, armoured beast with horns sharp enough to open a can of mammoth stew. Maybe they didn’t just walk it—they rode it to work. Fetch back then? Forget tennis balls. It was boulders. Or femurs the size of a Buick. “Good boy, bring back that random dinosaur leg bone!” So yeah, Jurassic Dog Park was born. 60 million years of humanity’s oldest game: “You throw it, they chase it… and hopefully, they don’t eat you instead.”
