Gothic Raven Card

This postcard is a photographic reprint of my husband, Steve's, original nature photograph. It is such a stunning and striking image. The pitch-black raven is juxtaposed so contrastingly against the pure, palest-grey sky. The lighting hitting the tree branches and foliage gives such an eerie effect. Some branches look like normal branches, others look as if they may be covered in snow. Yet others, especially the smaller, spindly branches, look almost as if they could be cobwebs. The shadows in the foliage give the image such rich depth and range of greys, from light, silvery shades, through the charcoal range, and into the almost-black range. Superb.
