60-93 Springtime Colours

This is one of the more colourful splatter paintings I did. I like the way the colours overlap and yet still preserves the space. You might think its easy to fill a canvas with drip and drizzle paint but it was difficult to fill this canvas with solid grey, but I needed it as a background basis for my composition. I suppose I could have just 'filled' the background after finishing the painting but felt it was important to do the especially first ones in Jackson Pollock's style.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
