Young Male Downy Woodpecker on Railing Card

A cute baby male downy woodpecker, charming wildlife design for friends, family, volunteers, birders, bird lovers, nature lovers. Inside the card is a warm pale yellow, blank so you can write your own words. The handsome fellow is a juvenile born earlier in the year. Downy woodpeckers are the smallest North American woodpeckers. Initially this little guy arrived with an older female, possibly his mum helping him find food on his own. Woodpeckers are omniverous and eat seeds, insects, suet. You can still see some of his baby fluff but he has the distinctive red patch at the back of his head.
