"You call?" Major Mitchell's Cockatoo photo prints

Cockatoos in general are among the cheekiest of birds, so this Major Mitchell's is sure to add some character to your room! The story behind this: it was taken on a workshop with the great Steve Parish. As this was both my last and best chance to see a Major Mitchell's before heading back to Canada, I was determined to see one. Many didn't think it possible, but I was firm in my belief that it was. On the second to last day, someone else was actually the one to spot some "large whiteish birds" waaaayyyy off in the distance. Between my 600mm and zooming into the shot all the way, one could just ID them. SUCCESS!!! In my excitement, I practically pushed poor Steve (who did not initially believe that they were Major Mitchell's!) out of the way just as the birds flew off. I spent the next half hour skirting the perimeter of a crowded campground asking if anyone had seen some cockatoos, receiving only odd glares in response. I was just about to give up when I heard a squawk and turned to see this guy and two of his buddies looking at me!!!
