Yellow songbirds on Crossvine Notebook

Two Yellow Warbler birds are perched on this flowering crossvine, also known as Begonia Capreolata. This creeping vine with orange red and yellow flowers is native to the Southern United States. The yellow birds blend in well with bright flowers. John James Audubon referred to the two yellow birds here as Rathbone's warblers. These are actually two immature yellow warblers. This is Plate 65 of John James Audubon's Birds of America series. If you're the sentimental type, wouldn't this make a great 65th anniversary present.
