Yeats "The Stolen Child" Victorian Art Poem 8x10 Poster
8" x 10" Poster Print: "The Stolen Child" (W. B. Yeats), vintage art and historical poetry with a modern twist. Magical autumn woods, touched by frost and mystery, beckon from this lovely Victorian illustration c. 1840-1860 by an anonymous artist. The original black-and-white engraving is in the public domain, and I've remixed it with a modern twist by digitally hand-colouring it. To complement the enchanting imagery, I've incorporated a quotation from the beautiful 1886 poem The Stolen Child by William Butler Yeats: "Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild..." This pretty print is perfect for the 21st-century lover of 19th-century art and poetry. It would look wonderful on the wall of a neo-Victorian parlor, romantic boudoir, or steampunk study. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
