Stanislaw Wyspianski (1869 - 1907) was one of Poland's great figures at the turn of the century. An accomplished playwright, poet, and artist, Wyspianski died much too young at the age of 38.
Macierzynstwo (1905), usually translated as Maternity, sometimes as Motherhood, features a young mother nursing her baby while her sisters look on. Considered one of Wyspianski's greatest works, it has appeared on Polish coins and postage.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
