WW1 1918 Women Working at a Munitions a Factory
The painting captures a moment of historical significance, a time when women were breaking down traditional gender barriers and stepping into roles once thought to be exclusively male. World War I provided an opportunity for women to demonstrate their capabilities and challenge societal expectations. - As men were called to the frontlines, women filled the void in factories, offices, and fields. The munitions factory, depicted in the painting, was a prime example of this shift. Women, once confined to domestic spheres, were now handling explosives, operating machinery, and contributing directly to the war effort. - This surge of female labour during the war marked a turning point in the fight for women's rights. It highlighted the importance of their contributions to society and paved the way for future advancements in gender equality. The painting serves as a testament to the courage, resilience, and groundbreaking work of these pioneering women. - Wellcome Collection placed this work in Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. I submitted a prior review, which did not get posted, which tells me there is a lack of transparency/reviews are scrutinized and not all posted by Zazzle. Hopefully this one gets posted as it’s important for consumers to understand all experiences. This item had to be redone because the first one, as in the picture I attached, had the head cut off. When I first contacted customer service about it, they indicated it was my error due to the editing tool. Certainly I would never submit an order with the head cut off. The final product I reviewed before submitting the order did *not* have the head cut off. I re-ordered the product under a different order because I needed it right away. After a couple of back-and-forth emails with customer service, they did refund me for the original order. Disappointed in the time I had to take to re-order and get this straightened out with the refund.

The product I received had the head cut off. The Online editor review showed up perfectly within the frame it needed to be in. Certainly, I would never have submitted a request for an item with the head cut off! Having to waste my time going back-and-forth with customer service for a refund and they continue not to do so making claims about the editing. Beware: The product they send you is NOT accurate to the result of their online editing tool!
