Very rare brass Christmas present box for British and Commonwealth troops, dated 1914. Rare because most carried an image of Princess Mary and were hinged, unlike this one. Contents differed according to rank, age and nationality but could include a pipe, tobacco, chocolate, pencil and/or other items.
