Colourized photo from around 1914 Original Title: Mfr. dolls of bass wood Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (I think) After doing some research, I believe this is the workshop of the Schoenhut Doll company. They made basswood dolls in a variety of shapes. Everything made by hand, sold by the dozen, $44 for a box of bare dolls, $66 for clothed ones. After the depression they couldn't keep up with the new vinyl dolls, nor did the customers like the cheapened version of their new hollow headed dolls. They went out of business by 1935.

Turned this into a lockdown activity with my partner for our anniversary. I got the 110 pieces since neither of us are big on puzzles. It's was just one of the nice little fun activities we did together. Probably took 30 minutes all up. We're gona frame it and keep it as a memory. The quality of the print was fine. Our teeth look like they stick out a bit just due to the the shape of the pieces around our teeth. But no problems.
