The quote, "Well-behaved women seldom make history," is combined with a vintage illustration of female pirate, Mary Read, after she stabs another pirate and leaves him on the ground to wonder what just happened. As she walks away, she shows him a bit of her charms! Mary Read was one of only two known female pirates who were convicted of piracy in the 18th century. She died in a Jamaican prison in 1721.
