This painting, which appeared as a frontispiece of Euclid's Elements, depicts students gathered for their geometry lesson only to find (gasp!) the teacher is a woman. The horror! Don't the Dons understand that all this talk of trajectories and intersections will quicken her lady parts? And surely no young man can be expected to reflect upon a conic section in the presence of the fairer-sex. Alas, we learned all too late that once we let dames get a foot in the door of the classroom, the next thing you know they'll be demanding the vote and the right to drink spirits and own livestock. The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
