Aconitum (wolf’s bane, monkshood) is a genus of more than 250 herbaceous perennials found in mountainous regions of the northern hemisphere. Most species are extremely poisonous and can be fatal if consumed or absorbed through the skin. Honey made from the flowers is also poisonous. It has been used in warfare and as a poison, both in traps to protect against dangerous wildlife and by hunters, who would dip their arrows or spears in a paste made from the roots of the plant.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
