Information is accurate as of date of publication. Wisconsin doesn't actually have a cottage law but a court ruling allowing the home production of baked goods and potentially non hazardous foods. Although there is currently no specific labelling requirement for baked goods, it is strongly suggested to model the recommendations in the current Wisconsin Pickle Bill for labelling as I have in this labelling product. Ingredients list needs to be customised for each product you sell, so for instance, if you make vanilla cake, order a sheet with vanilla cake ingredients, and then another for chocolate cake with the ingredients for your chocolate cake recipe. The ingredients in the cottage food product should be listed in descending order of predominance by weight. If you use a prepared item in your recipe, you must list the sub ingredients as well. For example: "soy sauce" is not acceptable, but "soy sauce (wheat, soybeans, salt)" would be acceptable. Allergen labelling is not required. That being said, you can definitely add it on using the "add text" feature and/or you can order a different state's labels that have all the information you would like to provide already included.
