This art is digitised version of my Grinling Gibbons / Windsor Castle inspired wood carving / woodwork inspired table photo frame border design, that hand painted onto cotton, using motifs that I saw, when I visited Windsor Castle's reception rooms in the upper quadrant, created by Grinling Gibbons, and English restoration era master wood carver who King Charles II hired. I used coloured pencil, acrylic paint, & textile medium to paint onto the cotton. Then I scanned the design, and created a digital, cleaned up version, seen here. The design has musical instruments, leaves, and fruit, originally created / carved from French oak, for the castle, French oak that was native and imported from France, during the 1600s, as King Charles II lived in France during exile.
