This is a poster print of an original Matthew Gauvin Landscape painting. The oil painting depicts the view from the top of Burke Mountain in East burke Vermont looking out over Burke at Mount Pisgah, Mount Hor and Willoughby Lake in Westmore Vermont. The painting is thick brush strokes of warm greens and blues with splashes of warmer colours like orange, yellow and pink making the whole thing vibrate with the warm energy of the time just before foliage season. Rolling foreground hills at the top of Burke lead the viewers eye down into burke up and around the mountains and into the distant lake Willoughby.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
