The exquisite floral pattern was designed by famous 18th century textile and wallpaper designer William Morris. Morris designs were inspired by nature in the English countryside and its native flowers and plants. The floral pattern is very complex, originally hand-printed as wallpaper. A sophisticated pattern for the times, Pink and Rose was designed around 1890. Typical to his style, these were native garden flowers that were repeated to produce a pattern for the wallpaper.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
