This is a digitally enhanced print derived from an antique Loop Trail floral pattern design by the company founded by William Morris. William Morris was a Victorian era poet, novelist, textile designer and an important figure of the British Arts and Crafts Movement. His designs had a mediaeval-inspired aesthetic and respect for hand-craftsmanship and traditional textile arts. He was the founding figure of Morris & Co., and Kelmscott Press. He was friends to many Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. You can customise the background colour.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
