William Blake Jacob’s Ladder puzzle. Pencil and watercolor from 1806. English poet and artist William Blake devoted a considerable amount of his work to illustrating the Bible. Jacob’s Ladder depicts the dream of the biblical patriarch Jacob in which he perceived a ladder of angels climbing towards heaven. Blake illustrates the scene with a spiral staircase rising from the head of Jacob, passed the star filled night sky, towards the brightly illumined sun of heaven. Blakes angels carry pitchers, bowls, scrolls and even small children. A beautiful gift for fans of William Blake, Bible illustrations, and English art.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
