His Beatrice Adressing Dante from the Car is a colourful work depicting the muse Beatrice greeting the poet Dante in Heaven. The work features an intriguing amount of symbolim. A whirlwind of angels serves as the wheel of the car, while a colourful griffin serves as its lead. Beatrice is surrounded by the four gospel apostles depicted metaphorically. Luke is depicted as the simple ox, mark a lion, John as an eagle, and Matthew as an echo of the Christ. A beautiful gift for fans of William Blake, Dante, The Divine Comedy, and English art.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
