This little baby cougar looks a little bit nervous about scrambling into the big wide world. His cute kitten expression was irresistible to me, I just had to paint him, I used a soft pastel medium because I love the way I can capture every little cougar hair of his amazing coat. He's a very special wild cat. The original poem printed over the baby cougar painting is titled "Cries Of Sorrow" and is one of my original published poems for which I own the copyright. The poem is about the mindless animal cruelty that goes on in the world today, I wrote it many years ago when I was a supporter of the Worldwide fund for animals, I heard of so much cruely and it inspired me to write a poem for an animal anthology, the anthology was a multi poet anthology. This original poem poster with its cougar cub picture will find a soft spot in the hearts of everyone who likes cute baby animals, especially baby wildlife animals and who has an interest in conservation and rescue.
