The intricate black and white ink illustration is from the story “The Blue Belt” in the first edition of “East of the Sun and West of the Moon” (1914) by the phenomenal Danish artist - Kay Nielsen.
To honour the story’s authenticity, the original caption from the fairytale is found on the back of the postcard. ( I read every story and book I share illustrations from.)
