White Buffalo Calf Woman Jigsaw Puzzle
A Native American woman in white stands next to a massive white buffalo. In one hand, she holds an ornate staff while she rests the other on the pale fur of the great bison. They stand upon a grassy hilltop at sunset looking back at you, the viewer.
The White Buffalo Calf Woman is a sacred figure in many of the Plains Indian religions. The basic story is that two scouts were sent to seek help during a famine. In their travels, they met the White Buffalo Calf woman. One of the men tried to take advantage of her and was reduced to a pile of bones. She saw that the other had a pure heart though and sent him back to his tribe to prepare for her arrival. When she arrived, she taught them seven sacred ceremonies and gave them a ceremonial pipe. She left promising to return one day. As she left, she took the form of several different buffalo, the last of which was a white calf.

Although I love the puzzles I purchase on Zazzle and am thankful I can purchase puzzles with larger pieces for my senior friends, the picture on the box that the puzzles come in is very small so is difficult for my senior friends to see. It would be great if the puzzles came with a poster for seniors to view so they can have something to refer to that they can see when building the puzzles. The puzzles are expensive when you purchase larger size piece puzzles so it would feel like you are getting your money's worth if it worked out in every way. For this, I have to give it a 4 out of 5 starts, otherwise it would be 5, even though the cost of the puzzles are high for larger size piece puzzles. I have not given the puzzle as a gift yet so have not seen the puzzle put together however from looking at the individual pieces, the image looks clear.

Excellent product, I have been to Positano and my hotel features in the jigsaw so it was special for me. The quality is fantastic and is beautiful when finished. The one thing that could be improved would be a A4 or bigger actual picture of the jigsaw not just the tiny picture on the lid of the box, I have to use a magnifying glass. This is my third puzzle from zazzle and I am now going the send my own picture of Switzerland to be made into a puzzle. Very satisfied a little darker than appeared on the web site.
