I painted the original acrylic piece used in designing this art based on an interpretation of set design and aesthetics from the Royal Shakespeare Company's 1998 film, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". I love this movie, specifically the optimistic and whimsical use of colours and lighting. Some people interpret the light bulbs as Japanese lanterns, which is ok with me. As for the blue... Is it water? Is it sky? Doesn't matter. It is what you want it to be. It's a dream, after all.
