A beautiful print of "Whaler and Fishing Vessels near the Coast of Labrador" an oil on canvas painting created in 1880 by William Bradford (1823 –1892) an American romanticist painter, photographer and explorer. Bradford was born in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, near New Bedford. He is known for his paintings of ships and Arctic seascapes. His early work focused on portraits of the many ships in New Bedford Harbour. In 1858, his painting “New Bedford Harbour at Sunset” was included in Albert Bierstadt's landmark New Bedford Art Exhibition. He went on several Arctic expeditions and was the first American painter to depict the frozen regions of the north.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
