A seascape featuring people on the beach and boats in the harbour in the English sea port town of West Cowes on the Isle of Wight. About the artist: Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was a member of the circle of painters in Paris who became known as the Impressionists. Undervalued for over a century because she was a woman.
