Weeping Red Tree- Song of Sol. 8:7 Greeting Card

I hope many of you can appreciate this print, as it took me weeks to paint, as I was trying to make it perfect. Enjoy it on a greeting card for that special someone. This print comes from a painting I did for my younger brother’s 40th birthday. He said I could use only black and white paint, but I convinced him to give me just one other color to work with, so I chose red. He wanted mostly black and white, so I took the liberty of using three bold shades of red for the tree. Today, the painting sits above my brother’s fireplace, and yes, he loves it. The text inside is a romantic scripture from the bible's Song of Solomon: "Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one's house for love, it would be utterly scorned." Song of Solomon 8:7
