While these magnificent yet often humble structures are generally built to mark dangerous coastlines, hazardous shoals and reefs, Lighthouses have been said to represent many things - They are beacons of truth and hope, an obvious symbol of stability and safety with their solid mass yet they also represent change in the way that their light assists with maritime navigation during nights and shuts off with the rising of the sun. Hence the imagery here shows a lighthouse standing tall as it sends it's beam out across a turbulent sea weathering the storm that makes it so. For whatever reason you love lighthouses this sketch is the epitome of all these fine structures have come to mean to us.
