Waxy Checkerbloom Mug - The Waxy Checkerbloom (Sidalcea glaucescens) is also known as Glaucous chequered mallow, or Waxy checkermallow. It is native to California, where it grows in the southernmost mountains of the Cascade Range and the Sierra Nevada, its distribution extending just over the border into Nevada. It can be found in mountain meadow habitats of yellow pine forest, red fir forest, lodgepole forest, and subalpine forest. I love exploring the meadow near Crane Flat in Yosemite National Park, where took this photo of these delightful magenta-pink flowers. These lovely flowers make a great gift for a nature-lover or someone who appreciates the flora of Yosemite National Park.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
