Based on the Robert Herrick poem, Gather Ye Rosebuds is one of English painter John Waterhouse’s finest literary works. The painting features a beautiful girl in a green dress with gold lace and floral embroidery. The young woman holds a pewter bowl of freshly cut pink, red, and white roses in her hands. Her dark red hair is fastened with pearls, and a mirror stationed behind her reveals a stained glass window featuring a coat of arms and purple tulips. A great gift for fans of J.W.
