Bridge Over Pond With Water Lilies by Claude Monet. Impressionist floral masterpiece painting of bridge arching over pond laden with white, pink and yellow tinged water lilies and perhaps other aquatic flowers painted by Claude Monet as part of a series of twelve paintings featuring this water lilies motif. This famous painting, a prime example of Impressionism, was executed in 1889 on Monet’s farm in Givenry, France. This painting is unusual within the series as it is one of the few using a vertical format ~ thus bringing into relief the water lilies and their reflections in the pond.
