This design features an image of a famous oil painting by the German Romantic artist Caspar David Friedrich (1774–1840). It is titled "Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog" (in the original German, "Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer"), and it is widely considered one of the masterpieces of Romanticism. A young man can be seen standing on a rocky precipice with his back to the viewer. He is wrapped in a dark green overcoat and is gripping a walking stick in his right hand. The wanderer gazes determinedly out on a landscape covered in a thick sea of mist and fog, which stretches out into the horizon, merging with the sky.
