Wall Arch, Arches National Park, Utah Poster

Wall Arch, Arches National Park, Utah Poster

"Wall Arch, Arches National Park, Utah" by Catherine Sherman. The vivid red rock formations of what remains of Wall Arch rise against a partly cloudy sky, with patches of green vegetation gracing the rugged desert scenery of Arches National Park in Utah. The distinct erosion patterns on the sandstone surfaces suggest the natural forces that shaped this arid landscape over millennia. Wall Arch was a natural sandstone arch in Arches National Park in southeastern Utah, United States. Before its collapse in 2008, it was ranked 12th in size among the park's over 2,000 arches. At its largest, the opening underneath the span was 71 feet (22 metres) wide by 33.5 feet (10 metres) high. It consisted of Entrada Sandstone. Wall Arch collapsed some time between the night of August 4 and the morning of August 5, 2008, temporarily blocking Devils Garden Trail, according to Wikipedia. No one observed the fall. It was the first collapse of a major arch in the park since sections of Landscape Arch fell in 1991. This photograph was taken on November 4, 2008, just a few months after the Wall Arch collapse.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
